    I'm surprised I'm the first to review this item on Amazon. What can I tell you, this is hands down one of the best lenses around. Sharp! Between this lens, my 50mm 1.2L, and the 70-200mm 2.8L USM II IS, and a 100mm Macro, my photography and Video making needs are fulfilled. You can read all the technical info on this lens on the Canon website as well as read the rave reviews about it online. So, I won't get into it. But if you're a serious photographer or a 5D Mk ii/1D Mk iv filmmaker, there's no question you need this lens. I use it for both video and stills on my 5D Mk ii and 7D and have enjoyed the superb image quality and bokeh within its wide angle frame. The 1.4 prime is a must for an independent filmmaker.
