    Overall i love the lens. For $100 i really can't complain all that much.

    Pros: Very large aperture on the cheap. Super crisp photos. Nice small depth of field. Good Bokeh.
    Cons: Auto focus is a pretty unreliable. Slow and inaccurate.
    Other: It is true the lens feels "cheap" because its design is so simple. It's mostly all plastic with a little bit of glass. When you read reviews about it cheap feel, there's nothing wrong with it. It hold together just fine. I think it would last years to come with safe handling just like other lenses.
    When using this on a APS-C (1.6X crop) camera it is pretty far zoomed in. It's not very practical if you don't have a lot of room to back up.

    I think i'll be saving up for that 24mm f/1.4L for the future, because of the APS-C cropping.
    Recommended? Yes, for $100 you can't go wrong. It's a lot of fun to play around with.
