This review is from: Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 Image Stabilized USM SLR Lens Kit for Canon EOS Digital SLR's + WSP Cleaning Set. (Electronics) I ordered this lens 2 weeks ago (from this page) & i was excited to test it. However, am not sure if this is really a new piece or a refurbished piece, because the lens did not come with any manual etc. Also am not satisfied with the build quality of the lens that i received. For ex: if the lens is in zoomed in completely & i try to close the lens with its cap, even that little pressure to close the lid makes the less to back to Zoomed out position. This happend everytime i tried to close lid. This worried me - because its been just a week since i bought this lens & i wanted it to last atleast for couple of years. I've returned this piece & ordered Tamron 17/50. (Electronics) I purchased the Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 Image Stabilized USM SLR Lens Kit for Canon EOS Digital SLR's + WSP Cleaning Set on 11/7/2010 When the item arrived, the lens did not come in a retail Canon box, it has no instruction manual, and it was just in a bubble wrap rolling around in a generic white box with Canon sticker on top. How can i be sure that this is not an used and refurbished item, more importantly, where's my instruction manual. The description on the item on Amazon.com was very deceptive and it made no indication that the item will be shipped OEM, or used.
